Protecting nature through science, advocacy, and community action since 2023
The One World Nature Conservation Alliance (OWNCA) was founded in 2023—born out of a deep conviction that the responsibility to safeguard our planet rests not in the hands of a few, but within each and every one of us. It emerged from a growing realization: if we do not act boldly and collectively, the environmental degradation we witness today will become the irreversible tragedy of tomorrow.
Driven by the urgent need to respond to deforestation, pollution, biodiversity loss, and the climate crisis, OWNCA was established as a grassroots movement with a global vision—to unite communities, governments, and institutions in protecting the natural ecosystems that sustain all life on Earth.
What started as a small team working on local habitat restoration. Our first initiative protected 500 acres of coastal wetlands in our home state, establishing the model for our community-centered conservation approach.
At its core, OWNCA is more than just an organization; it is a mission. A mission to ignite action, restore damaged ecosystems, empower local stewardship, and ensure that future generations inherit a thriving planet. We believe that meaningful change begins with ordinary people doing extraordinary things for nature—and through education, advocacy, research, and on-the-ground intervention, we are turning that belief into impact.
"It’s All Connected. Wetlands, forests, air, animals nature works as one system. Harm to one affects all. At OWNCA, we protect the environment because protecting nature is protecting life" - Joshua Mambwe, Director - Conservetion
To protect and restore the Earth's ecosystems through innovative conservation strategies, scientific research, and empowering local communities. We work to safeguard biodiversity, combat climate change, and promote sustainable development practices that benefit both nature and people.
A world where thriving ecosystems support abundant biodiversity, stable climates, and sustainable human communities. We envision a future where conservation is not separate from development but integrated into all aspects of society, creating harmony between people and nature.
OWNCA's conservation model combines cutting-edge science with traditional knowledge and community engagement.
Our projects are grounded in rigorous scientific research and monitored using advanced technologies like satellite tracking and environmental DNA.
We partner with indigenous peoples and local communities, respecting their rights and incorporating their traditional ecological knowledge.
Every program has measurable conservation targets and is regularly evaluated for effectiveness and adaptive management.
